Week 36 — “Let’s Get Cozy”

Joy is the simplest form of gratitude.
Karl Barth

Hello Pilates People!!!!

Happy Sunday! We wanted to take a few moments to draw your attention to some updates to our website - just in case you missed them!

If you're looking for prop recommendations to stock up your in home studio, we've got them here.

And if you're looking for other wellness practitioners/supporters that we recommend (particularly as we head into this holiday season), we're calling them our "Wellness Avengers" and you can find them all here!

And remember, we'll be releasing new deals each day next weekend for Black Friday - so please tune in! We've got some really great surprises in store for you, but expect to see Merch, classes and more on our list for you and everyone on YOUR list!

In light of Thanksgiving coming up this week, we wanted to take a moment to acknowledge things we are thankful for this year:

  • this community

  • friends + family

  • our instructors

  • the ability to move our bodies

  • technology - even though it's often a pain, can you actually imagine this year without it?

  • fur babies

  • our new sense of collective wiggle - the ability to adapt and go with the flow at the drop of a hat

  • warm beverages

  • laughter

  • cuddly things - scarves, socks, sweaters, blankets, etc.

And this brings us to our theme this week - let's get cozy!

Jenni and I were talking and realized we've been focusing really hard with you all lately, which is clearly beneficial and has been amazing to see (ALL of my private clients had GIANT break-throughs last week! I literally jumped up and down and yelled in excitement in almost every session so - WAY TO GO!), but maybe it's time to just have fun.

So let's put on a pair of socks, a hat and a scarf, light a candle, hold a cup of coffee or tea in our hands and just see what happens!

Because the anatomy and the emotions and all that seriousness is crucial and obviously we're all about it, but we need to remember to step back, laugh, release and find a moment of joy sometimes too.

That's what we're here for this week. We hope you'll come along!

AND, we'll be "closed" this Thursday. Jenni and I are spending Thanksgiving together and wanted to take a moment to be present with each other and our FaceTime families away from "work". We encouraged our instructors to do the same and hope you can too!

AND if a movement practice is part of what helps you find your way into the moment on that day, we will be releasing a FREE class for EVERYONE early Thursday morning via Instagram/Youtube and our website! Please tune in if you like and send it to anyone who may want to join in! It'll be ready and waiting for you and yours - wherever, whenever, however :)

Big hugs. Thank you, as always for being here. You've made this year possible for us. Really. It was YOU, and we'll not forget it.

All our love,
Cassandra + Pilates People

P.S. - got some things you're thankful for? Go ahead, think about it! It helps. Wanna tell us? Shoot your stuff our way! We'd love to have a look and maybe we can create an even bigger list to share!
